Philmont Meeting 7/21/19 at 3:30PM

We will have our scheduled training hike from 1-3:30pm on Sunday at Lake Macbride.   We will then have a meeting at Lake Macbride to go over Philmont Logistics.   All crew members who are going to Philmont should plan to attend.  

Yellow River Philmont Shakedown Campout June 14-16, 2019.

The Yellow River Campout is coming up on June 14-16.  Registration is now open.  The deadline to register is June 9th.   This is open to all crew members and adults.  This will be a self-contained backpacking weekend. 

Crew Meeting May 19th, 7pm

There will be a crew meeting on Sunday May 19th at 7pm for Philmont Participants.  We will meet in the Youth room.    Please come to the meeting with your pack filled with all Philmont gear and loaded with 4 liters of water.   We will go over the pack list line item by line item and look at what everyone has.  We want to make sure you have good gear and nothing too heavy.   If we have time, we will go through a few Philmont videos as well. 

Maquoketa Caves Campout May 24-26, 2019

Venturing Crew 2016 Maquoketa Cave State Park Campout is scheduled for May 24-26th, 2019.   This is open to all crew members.   This will also be the 2nd Philmont Shakedown Campout, so we will be having backpacking food.   Please register by May17th so we have time to order our trail food.  Click on "Read More" for details and registration information.

Lake Macbride Philmont Training Campout April 26-27, 2019

Crew 2016 will have it's first Philmont Training campout at Lake Macbride State Park.   This is highly recommended for those crew members who are going on our Philmont Trip.  It is also open to all other crew members as well.  Deadline to register is Tuesday April 23rd to give us time to shop for food.   Click Read More below to register.

Philmont Training Hikes Begin April 20th, 2019.

Easter is this weekend, so there will be no meeting on Sunday night. However, we will plan for a Philmont Training hike on Saturday at 10am at Squire Point trailhead. All are welcome. Those going on Philmont should wear their hiking boots and bring their pack with at least 20lbs in it.

Crew Meeting Sunday March 24, 2019 at 7pm.

There will be a crew meeting Sunday March 24th at 7pm at the FCC..   We will meet at the same time as Troop 2000.  We will use the youth room in the back.   Please bring your calendars as we will need to set up our campouts over the next few months.
